Published until 1977 with occasional interruptions, it addressed social shortcomings, bureaucratic criticism, political rivalries, economic difficulties and everyday life through caricatures, satirical poetry and theatrical writing. The magazine also brought together influential literary and artistic figures, including Aziz Nesin, Rıfat Ilgaz and Turhan Selçuk.

The colourful cover illustration of this 1945 issue features Uncle Sam depicted in the silhouette of the Statue of Liberty, carrying a large bomb marked “ATOM”. The dialogue on the left reads: “America — If you didn’t like this one, shall I detonate the other?!” The cartoon uses sharp political humour to reflect the anxieties surrounding atomic weapons and their consequences in the closing period of the Second World War.

Inside, the issue includes further political cartoons addressing Russia and elections in the Balkans.
