This comic book is Issue #4 of the Best Classics series published by Milliyet Newspaper in Turkey between 1991 and 1992. The series consists of a total of 10 issues and serves as the Turkish bilingual edition of the legendary Classics Illustrated series, released with an educational focus.

This edition of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne was published in 1991 and distributed free of charge alongside Milliyet Newspaper, rather than being sold commercially. One of its most distinctive features is its bilingual format: the comic is presented in both Turkish and English. Milliyet released the series with the explicit aim of supporting English language learning, making it both an educational and collectible publication.
