Şark Cebhesinde Gördüklerim is a contemporary account of the Eastern Front of the Second World War, based on the observations of a Turkish military delegation that visited the German–Soviet front while the war was still underway. Written by Hüseyin Emin Erkilet, the book examines the military struggle between Germany and the Soviet Union from the perspective of a Turkish military officer who personally observed the front, occupied territories, military operations, and conditions behind the lines.

The work discusses the causes and development of the German–Soviet war, the military strength, weapons, equipment, and tactics of the two armies, as well as operations in strategically important areas including Crimea, Odessa, and Nikolayev. Erkilet also records details concerning the crossing of major rivers, battlefield conditions, and the daily life of civilians in towns and villages affected by the conflict.
