This is Issue #12 of the Red Kit comic series published in Turkey in 1969 by Bilge Şakrak Yayınevi. The series is in fact the Turkish adaptation of the original Belgian comic Lucky Luke, created by Morris. In Turkey, the character’s name was changed to “Red Kit,” and the series was published in Turkish and in black and white. While the original European editions were printed in full color, the Turkish publisher reduced production costs by having local artists retrace the original artwork onto acetate sheets and print them in black and white.

One of the most distinctive and collectible aspects of this Turkish edition is its covers. Unlike the original series, the covers were newly illustrated by Turkish artists, making them unique to this edition and visually different from their European counterparts. This gives the series a separate identity within Turkish comic publishing history and increases its appeal among collectors.

Issue #12 contains two Red Kit stories adapted from the original Lucky Luke album Rodeo: Red Kit ve Pistol Kardeşler and Red Kit Altın Şehri.
