Ottoman Deed – Agricultural Land in Özvanlı? Village, Menbiç (Kilis / Ayıntab Livası), 1922

Description:
This original Ottoman deed, dated March 1338 (March 1922), records the sale of an agricultural field measuring 12 dönüms, located in Özvanlı? Village, Menbiç district, Kilis (Ayıntab Livası / modern Gaziantep).

The property belonged to Mehmed Ağazade Ahmed Adil Efendi, who sold it for 1,750 kuruş to Sarıklı Ahmed Adil Efendi.

As one of the last Ottoman deeds issued before the proclamation of the Turkish Republic, this document is particularly notable for its “tabiyeti” (nationality) entry still marked as “Osmaniye” (Ottoman), showing that it predates the foundation of the Republic.

The deed is written on watermarked “Papierfabrik Sacrau” paper and bears Ottoman fiscal stamps and seals, enhancing both its authenticity and historical significance.
