Ottoman German Technical Blueprint - Pulley DATSCH / VDMA, 1920s

Description:
An original technical blueprint chart depicting a Pulley, published in the 1920s by the Deutschen Ausschuß für Technisches Schulwesen (German Committee for Technical Education, DATSCH) in cooperation with the Verein Deutscher Maschinenbau-Anstalten (Association of German Engineering Institutions, VDMA). The sheet measures 33 × 23.5 cm and is printed on thick paper.

The chart is bilingual, with inscriptions in both German and Ottoman Turkish (in Arabic script). As the Alphabet Reform (Harf Devrimi) was not yet implemented until 1928, all Turkish text is in the traditional Ottoman script.

This blueprint was intended for technical and engineering education in Ottoman/Turkish institutions, reflecting the continuation of German–Turkish cooperation in the field of industrial and mechanical training after World War I. Such materials were crucial for the modernization of the Ottoman/Turkish educational curriculum in engineering and mechanical sciences.
