Uzay #2 1981 Turkish Comic Turkey Space Science Fiction
Uzay – Issue #2 (1981) – Hasal Yayınları
Description:
Uzay Issue #2 is a Turkish black-and-white science fiction comic published by Hasal Yayınları as part of the same short-lived but distinctive series launched in the early 1980s. Like the first issue, this volume consists of 128 pages, a notably high page count that sets the Uzay series apart from many other Hasal publications. The series as a whole ran for a total of nine issues.
This second issue contains a single science fiction story titled Merih’ten Saldıranlar. Although the original title of the story is unknown, it features the characters Jerry Barclay and follows classic science fiction themes centered on extraterrestrial threats and space-based adventure. As with many Hasal Yayınları releases, the source material was localized with a new Turkish title and published without detailed reference to its original edition.
Uzay Issue #2 reflects the publisher’s continued emphasis on dense, long-form storytelling and genre-driven content. For collectors, the appeal lies in the combination of high page count, science fiction focus, and the relative obscurity of both the series and its original sources, making this issue a compelling example of early 1980s Turkish comic publishing practices.
