Asterix – “Asteriks ve Kazan” (Asterix and the Cauldron) – Turkish Edition, Remzi Yayınevi (1998)

Description:

This is a Turkish-language, softcover Asterix comic published by Remzi Yayınevi as part of the publisher’s long-running and highly regarded Asterix series issued between 1994 and 2020. Over the course of this period, a total of 37 Asterix titles were published, making this the most complete and faithful Turkish Asterix series to date.

Printed entirely in color and produced to European album standards, the Remzi Yayınevi editions are widely considered the closest Turkish printings to the original Franco-Belgian albums, both in physical dimensions and translation quality. Unlike earlier Turkish editions that often involved altered dialogue, localized humor, or format compromises, this series aimed to remain highly faithful to the original artwork, storytelling, and tone.

This volume features “Asteriks ve Kazan”, the Turkish edition of Asterix and the Cauldron, written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo. The story centers on a Gaulish village whose chief is disgraced after losing his tribe’s cauldron of money, prompting Asterix and Obelix to embark on a journey across Gaul to restore his honor resulting in sharp satire.

Published in 1998, this book is Series No. 20 and represents the first Turkish edition of this title by Remzi Yayınevi.
