Hulk #20 1988 Turkish Comic Turkey cover Rampaging #9 #146 She-Hulk Thor
Hulk – Issue #20 (1988) – Marvel Yayınları
Description:
Hulk Issue #20 was published in 1988 by Marvel Yayınları and marks the final issue of the Turkish Hulk series that ran for a total of 20 issues between 1987 and 1988. As with the rest of the run, the original Marvel stories were produced in color but released in black and white in Turkey due to the high cost of color printing at the time. The interior artwork was recreated by tracing the original pages onto tracing paper, a common production practice in Turkish comic publishing during the late 1980s, giving the series its distinctive visual character.
Continuing the familiar editorial approach of the series, this issue also features a mismatch between the cover and the interior stories. The cover art is taken from Rampaging Hulk #9, while the interior includes Son Vuruşma and Yarın Güneş Ölecek, adapted from Marvel Super Heroes Featuring The Incredible Hulk #97 and Hulk #146–147. In addition, the issue includes a Dişi Hulk story originally published as She-Hulk Vol. 1 No. 3. As in several later issues of the series, the book concludes with a section featuring Hulk drawings sent in by magazine readers, highlighting the interactive relationship between the publisher and its audience and adding a uniquely local flavor to the publication. As the closing chapter of the series, Issue #20 holds particular collectible significance for fans of Turkish editions of characters such as Hulk and She-Hulk.
