Hulk #7 1988 Turkish Comic Turkey cover #21 #134
Hulk – Issue #7 (1988) – Marvel Yayınları
Description:
Hulk Issue #7 is a Turkish black-and-white comic published in 1988 by Marvel Yayınları as part of the 20-issue Hulk series released between 1987 and 1988. Like the other issues in the series, the original full-color Marvel material was published in black and white in Turkey due to the high cost of color printing at the time. The interior pages were produced by retracing the original artwork onto tracing paper, resulting in a simplified and distinctive local print style.
As is typical for this Turkish Hulk run, Issue #7 features a mismatch between the cover and the interior stories. The cover artwork is taken from Hulk Vol. 1 #21, while the stories inside are unrelated to the cover image. The issue includes the Hulk stories Umut and Golem Efsanesi, the latter originally published as Hulk #134. These stories present standalone Hulk adventures outside their original chronological context.
In addition to the official Hulk stories, this issue contains Hunk, a parody of Hulk drawn by Turkish artist Yıldırım Örer. A notable extra feature of Issue #7 is a section at the end of the book showcasing Hulk drawings sent in by magazine readers. This reader-contributed content adds a unique archival and nostalgic value, highlighting fan engagement with the character during the late 1980s Turkish comic scene.
