Judas #1 Turkish Hardcover Comic Turkey La croce fiammeggiante #4
Judas – Issue #1 (2004) – Erimer Bilişim
Description:
Judas Issue #1 is a Turkish-language, full-color comic published in 2004 by Erimer Bilişim as a first edition. This volume holds a unique place in the publication history of Judas in Turkey, as it is the first and only Judas comic ever released in color in the Turkish market. While Judas stories were published again in later years, all subsequent Turkish editions appeared exclusively in black and white.
The character Judas, created by Ennio Missaglia, is a former outlaw whose real name is Alan Scott. After the death of his girlfriend Vivien during a robbery, he turns himself and his companions over to justice, earning the name “Judas” and embarking on a path defined by guilt, redemption, and moral reckoning. The story presented in this volume is originally titled La croce fiammeggiante (#4) in the Italian series.
This edition stands apart not only because of its full-color presentation but also due to its production quality. The book was published in a large-format hardcover edition, giving it a premium feel compared to earlier Turkish Judas releases. The coloring was done by Turkish artist Funda Aksüt, adding a distinct local artistic contribution to the material. Unfortunately, the series proved short-lived in this format, and despite being planned as an ongoing color series, only this single volume was ever released, further enhancing its collectible status.
