Judas – Volume Series – Cilt 1 (2011) – Hoz Comics

Description:

Judas Cilt 1 is a Turkish black-and-white comic published in 2011 by Hoz Comics, marking the beginning of a five-issue series released between 2011 and 2012. This edition is based on the Italian Volume series originally published by Sergio Bonelli Editore. Printed in Turkish and in black and white, the Hoz Comics run represents a significant milestone in the publication history of Judas in Turkey.

The character Judas, created by Ennio Missaglia, is a former outlaw named Alan Scott who turns himself in after the death of his girlfriend Vivien during a robbery. Driven by guilt and a desire for redemption, Judas becomes a morally complex western anti-hero, with stories centered on justice, consequence, and personal reckoning.

Unlike earlier Turkish Judas editions, which presented stories out of their original sequence, the Hoz Comics series is notable for being the first Turkish publication to follow the original Italian story order. Cilt 1 faithfully collects the first three episodes of the Italian series in their correct chronological sequence. The volume includes the stories 45 Kalibrelik, Cellat, and Kanlı Yol, corresponding to Calibro 45 (#1), Il giustiziere (#2), and La pista insanguinata (#3). This commitment to the original narrative flow makes the Hoz Comics edition particularly appealing to readers and collectors seeking a more authentic reading experience aligned with the Italian source material.
