Ms. Marvel #3 1988 Turkish Comic Turkey #4 #5 #6
Ms. Marvel – Issue 3 (Marvel Yayınları, 1988)
Description:
Ms. Marvel, one of Marvel Comics’ prominent female superheroes of the late 1970s and 1980s, is best known through the character Carol Danvers. Originally introduced as a U.S. Air Force officer, Carol gains superhuman abilities and becomes Ms. Marvel, representing a more modern, independent superhero figure within the Marvel universe.
This is Issue #3 of the Ms. Marvel comic series published in Turkey by Marvel Yayınları between 1987 and 1988. The Turkish run consisted of a total of seven issues and was printed in Turkish. Although the original American editions were published in full color, the Turkish editions were printed in black and white as a cost-saving measure, a common practice at the time.
Despite carrying the Ms. Marvel title, this series is notable for its mixed content. Alongside Ms. Marvel stories, certain issues also included adventures featuring characters from The Avengers and X-Men, making the series more varied and appealing to a broader Marvel readership in Turkey.
Issue #3, published in 1988, contains three different stories. These stories correspond to Ms. Marvel issues #4, #5, and #6 from the original American series, offering Turkish readers a substantial portion of the early Ms. Marvel storyline within a single volume. As such, this issue represents an important entry in the short-lived but distinctive Turkish Ms. Marvel publication history.
