Ottoman Tapu (Deed) – Agricultural Land in Tokat, Bizeri Village, 1897

Description:
An original Ottoman property deed (tapu) dated Şubat 1312 AH (February 1897 CE), documenting the ownership of an agricultural field in Bizeri Village, Tokat. The property is located in the Buharcık mevkisi and is carefully measured at 10 dönüm, 23 evlek, 54 arşun, and 40 kirah.

The boundaries of the field are recorded as:

  • East (şarken): Güdük oğlu Mustafa

  • West (garben): Dere (stream)

  • North (şimalen): Güdük oğlu Bekir

  • South (cenuben): Kör Hasan oğlu İbrahim

The land was originally held jointly by Yahya's sons Mustafa and Ali. Following the death of Ali in 1305 AH, his half-share was inherited by his co-owner, Yahya's son Mustafa, as he was a citizen of the Ottoman Empire (tebâ-i Devlet-i Aliyye).

This deed reflects the detailed landholding records of the late Ottoman period and provides genealogical as well as local settlement history from the Tokat region.
