This Ottoman deed, dated 15 Ramazan 1324 AH (2 November 1906 CE), documents the ownership of an olive grove located in the district of Kilis, Aleppo Province. Known as “Kırk Sak Zeytinlik”.
The owner is identified as Said, son of Mahmud, an Ottoman citizen recorded with the occupational title kudamacı a term used in the Ottoman era for those who sold roasted chickpeas (leblebi).
