This large-format Ottoman Turkish military map, measuring 81 × 56 cm, is titled “1870–71 Seferine Mahsus Umumi Harita” and depicts the Franco-Prussian War with a particular focus on the Sedan Campaign. The map was published as part of “Tarih-i Harp Notları,” authored by Mehmed Nihad Bey, one of the pioneering figures of Turkish military historiography.

Printed in Dersaadet at the Matbaa-i Askeriye in 1340 (circa 1923–1924), the work was prepared as an official educational resource for 3rd-year students of the Erkan-ı Harbiye Mektebi (Ottoman War Academy) during the 1340–1341 academic year.
