Description:

This is the Red Sonja Yaz Özel Sayısı (Summer Special) published in Turkey by Alfa Yayınları in late 1987. Although presented as a special standalone release, this issue does not contain new material. Instead, it is a repackaged edition composed entirely of stories previously published within the 13-issue Red Sonja Turkish run released between 1986 and 1987.

The Yaz Özel Sayısı was produced as a sales strategy commonly used by Turkish publishers during the period. Unsold stock from earlier issues was reissued under a newly designed cover and marketed as a special edition, creating the impression of a new release. This Summer Special combines the complete contents of Issue #4 and Issue #5 of the original Turkish Red Sonja series.

The comic is printed in Turkish and in black and white, consistent with the rest of the Alfa Yayınları Red Sonja run. The cover artwork is taken from the original U.S. edition Red Sonja (She-Devil with a Sword) #2, published in 1983. As with many Turkish editions of the era, the cover image does not correspond to the interior stories.

By repackaging two earlier issues under a new cover and special title, Alfa Yayınları extended the commercial life of its existing inventory. The Yaz Özel Sayısı stands as a clear example of how Turkish publishers reused content to maximize sales while offering readers a product that appeared new on the market.
