Description:

This comic is Issue #5 from the Thor series published in Turkey by Alfa Yayınları between 1985 and 1988. The series consisted of a total of 21 issues. The first seven releases were printed in a thicker, volume-like format, while starting from Issue #8 the publisher switched to a slimmer single-issue format with fewer pages. This particular release corresponds to the early thicker format and includes the contents of Issue #13, Issue #14, and Issue #15 in one volume.

Thor is one of Marvel Comics’ most iconic superheroes, inspired by the Norse god of thunder. In Marvel’s universe, Thor is the powerful prince of Asgard and the son of Odin, wielding the enchanted hammer Mjölnir which grants him immense strength and the ability to control lightning and storms. The character blends mythology with superhero storytelling and often deals with conflicts involving gods, cosmic forces, and powerful villains. Since his introduction in the early 1960s, Thor has become a central figure within the Marvel Universe and has appeared in numerous comics, animated series, and blockbuster films.

Although the original American comics were printed in full color, this Turkish edition was produced in black and white in order to reduce printing costs. In addition, the artwork was reproduced by tracing the original drawings onto acetate sheets before being printed, a method commonly used in some Turkish comic publications of the period.
