Zagor is a classic Italian comic book series created by Sergio Bonelli and illustrated by Gallieno Ferri. The character’s real name is Patrick Wilding, the son of Mike and Betty, and he is portrayed as a western–tarzanesque hero living in the fictional forest of Darkwood, located in Pennsylvania in the northeastern United States. Zagor fights to maintain peace between settlers and Native American tribes, combining elements of western, adventure, and jungle-style storytelling.

In Turkey, this particular series was published by Tay Yayınları starting in 1986 under the title Yeni Dizi, reaching a total of 103 issues. These editions were printed in Turkish and in black and white, representing a continuation of Zagor’s popularity in Turkey during the mid-1980s.
