Zagor – Issue #1 – İşgalciler – AD-DE Yayınları Turkish Edition (1996)

Description:

Zagor is a classic Italian comic book series created by Sergio Bonelli and illustrated by Gallieno Ferri. The character’s real name is Patrick Wilding, the son of Mike and Betty, and he is portrayed as a western–tarzanesque hero living in the fictional forest of Darkwood, located in Pennsylvania in the northeastern United States. Zagor fights to maintain peace between settlers and Native American tribes, combining elements of western, adventure, and jungle-style storytelling.

In Turkey, this series was published by AD-DE Yayınları between 1996 and 1997 as a monthly publication, reaching a total of 32 issues. These editions were printed in Turkish and in black and white, continuing the long-standing popularity of Zagor among Turkish readers.

This issue, number 1, was published in 1996 and contains the story titled İşgalciler, originally published in Italian as Conquistadores. The story places Zagor in the midst of a dangerous conflict involving invading forces, delivering a mix of action, tension, and historical adventure elements that are characteristic of the series.

Unlike many earlier Turkish editions, the cover of this issue features artwork by Gallieno Ferri, preserving the original style of the Italian series and making it especially appealing for collectors who value authenticity.
