The character’s real name is Patrick Wilding, the son of Mike and Betty, and he is portrayed as a western–tarzanesque hero living in the fictional forest of Darkwood, located in Pennsylvania in the northeastern United States. Zagor fights to maintain peace between settlers and Native American tribes, combining elements of western, adventure, and jungle-style storytelling.
