Zagor is a classic Italian comic book series created by Sergio Bonelli and illustrated by Gallieno Ferri. The character’s real name is Patrick Wilding, the son of Mike and Betty, and he is portrayed as a western–tarzanesque hero living in the fictional forest of Darkwood, located in Pennsylvania in the northeastern United States. Zagor fights to maintain peace between settlers and Native American tribes, combining elements of western, adventure, and jungle-style storytelling.

In Turkey, the series was published by Tay Yayınları between 1970 and 1979, reaching a total of 465 issues. These editions were printed in Turkish and in black and white, becoming one of the most iconic and long-running comic publications of its time in Turkey.
